Connecting <Ukraine> to the global trade industry
Connecting
<Ukraine> to the
global trade industry
UUB is the first web platform on the Ukrainian market to trade natural resources seamlessly.
UUB – Ukraine's first and only web platform, created for investors to trade natural resources easily.
When the project started, there was no out-of-the-box solution to cover the existing business demand of trading in wood and lumber. So we had to build it from scratch, considering Europe's best practices. Another challenge for a dev team was to figure out quickly what's «under the hood», as the platform had been operating with other resources for several years.
Challenges we've encountered
We've built a platform that streamlines the trade process and saves time and effort in routine activities.
needed to work on the project, which is still ongoing. Most of these are front-end developers — we rarely need a designer considering restrictions on the UI side
<Auxility’s real-time communication, flexibility, and domain expertise enabled us to implement new features smoothly and on the fly./>
The UUB team collaborated with Auxility to create a modern, thorough, and scalable web solution that allows for tenders and auctions in Ukraine. It required sophisticated back-end features: a variety of integrations, digital signature, electronic document management, and more.
Solutions we’ve come up with
A modernized, comprehensive and scalable web solution for trading with any natural resources available in Ukraine.
Our team streamlined the interface, eliminating all unnecessary elements that would distract or confuse an experienced and market-savvy trader.
Having analyzed already existing IT infrastructure, we managed to seamlessly integrate into the UUB ecosystem to be able to tailor updated renewed web solutions with new features which customers will love.
<Enhanced and modernized>
We analyzed existing IT infrastructure and seamlessly integrated into the UUB ecosystem to tailor updated web solutions with new features that users will love.
<User-friendly>
We built an interface that appealed to the experienced and market-specific trader – our key user. It removed all elements that would either distract from or mislead him.
<Scalable>
We delivered a scalable solution suitable for different markets and tested on each one. The platform is already being utilized abroad.
How we did it
Research & analysis
<We always start with business analysis, a step that leads us to defining and setting our goals. These goals come down to developing the product the client and the end user will fall in love with./>
We delivered an out-of-the-box solution, which is easily prone to scale in the future. We've also tested it through each market and refined a set of tools for each one that felt dynamic yet familiar. Our success is evidenced by the fact the platform is now being utilized abroad.
Frameworks
Design
<Creating an optimal layout for intuitive interaction was a must to achieve the greatest possible impact on users. Due to restrictions of the Ukrainian government — that was a challenge. Therefore, the main focus was on UX design./>
Despite its laconic design, we could fit into the platform's advanced backend functionality, including various integrations, digital signature, electronic document management, and much more.
Auxility built and tested an interface that appealed to its target user — someone who had already been trading in the market and knew what they were doing.
We focused on clarity: removed unnecessary components that can distract or mislead users, optimised user experience, and improved efficiency.
Development
<As the team responsible both for developing new features and maintaining the existing system, we found ourselves challenged. But we were able to accomplish our goals by working together seamlessly and improving our platform with new releases./>
Developing the solution as we had to maintain an existing system while adding up new features was challenging but feasible. Once we picked up the pace and got involved in all aspects of the platform, our team seamlessly collaborated in the space, empowering the platform with new releases.
The project is still ongoing and we have yet to implement new features. We have a team of 8-10 people, depending on the scope. Most of these are front-end developers — we rarely need a designer considering restrictions on the UI side.

What our client says
We are dedicated to ensuring that our clients receive the help they need to achieve success, and we take pride in seeing the results of our hard work.
Auxility’s real-time communication, flexibility, and domain expertise enabled us to implement new features smoothly and on the fly. Prioritization and delivery of support to the UUB’s internal teams within a tight deadline were critical elements of theUUB and Auxility partnership.
Auxility has also been great in terms of having the ability to understand how to balance UI/UX limitations and the best design practices to ensure our users have everything they need for seamless platform usage. I’ve been the first to the market, and we still are - thanks to Auxility.
Collaborate with us
We are passionate investors in great ideas, helping businesses to bring their vision to life and drive the global innovation forward.
The platform had already been working for years when Auxility was approached for further development and maintenance. Our initial challenge was to understand what’s under the hood quickly (how the back-end works, its functionality, etc.) so that we could meet the client’s new requirements.
The engineering of our solution was challenging, as we had to maintain an existing system while adding new features. Once we picked up the pace and got involved in all aspects of the platform, our team seamlessly collaborated with other teams on new releases.
